Dr. Al-Jaz to Lead Sudan Delegation to the Meetings of IMF and World Bank in Ist

Khartoum - Adencies Minister of Finance and National Economy, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, is to lead Sudan''s delegation participating in the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank to be held in Istanbul, Turkey on 6-7 of the next October.
The delegation includes State Minister in the Ministry of the Finance and National Economy, Dr. Lual Deng, Governor of the Central Bank of Sudan, Dr. Sabir Mohamed Hassan and a number of technicians from both the Ministry of Finance and the Central Bank of Sudan. The meetings, which presidents of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank will address, are expected to discuss the Global Financial Crisis and its repercussions. Sudan''s delegation will introduce to the meetings the performance of Sudan economy focusing on the performance the ongoing budget, 2009 until the current September besides the indicators and features of the forthcoming year ''s budget, 2010. The delegate will also forward the theme of Sudan''s debt write-off under the initiative of Structure, which is applicable to Sudan since it has been witnessing an economic stability for a couple of years. In addition, Sudan remains for several years complying with the scheduling of its debts to the international institutions. Moreover, Sudan has been witnessing financial stability during the global financial crisis.
