Khartoum – Mona Al-Bashir Sudanese government rejected the accusations saying that it is hindering the UNAMID in its work. Sudanese envoy to the UN, Ambassador Abdul Mahmoud Abdul Halim said that Sudan doesn't hinder the entrance of peacekeeping forces describing Sudan's cooperation with the UNAMID as very good and is going in its regular course.
It is to be noted that UNSC called last Monday for complete entrance to UNAMID peace keeping troops to Darfur and to guarantee the complete unconditioned entrance to the aid workers and UN officials. The Sudanese government also rejected a report presented by an American group requesting the USA and the great powers to impose sanctions against members in the Sudanese government for their rejecting ending the violence in Darfur and Southern Sudan according to the report. Sudanese envoy to the UN, Ambassador Abdul Mahmoud Abdul Halim rejected the report saying that those are war lords who are trying to stop the peace train, adding that their report reveals their bankruptcy and the reality on the ground defeats their ill mentality. Abdul Halim expressed anger towards Enough Project report describing it as promoter of war.
