A high-level delegation of the Secretariat General of the Arab League, led by the Secretary General, Amro Musa and including the permanent members of the League will arrive in Sudan Saturday on a three-day visit,
during which a meeting at the level of the envoys to the Arab League will be held in the capital of North Darfur, Al-Fasher.
The Director of Peace and Humanitarian Affairs Administration at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Mohammed Abdallah Idriss, said in a press statement last Thursday that holding of the meeting of the permanent envoys in Al-Fasher city affirms the great concern of the Arab League over Sudan issues, especially the Darfur issue.
He said that the delegation will inaugurate three villages for voluntary repatriation of the displaced people and a number of facilities in the context of the Arab League projects in Darfur.
Idriss described holding of the meeting in Al-Fasher as an unprecedented because the Arab League has accustomed to holding its meetings at the level of the envoys at the headquarters of the League's Secretariat General.
