The Third Ministerial Organ  for Electricity linkage among the eastern Nile Basin States  convened  a conference yesterday at Burj Al-Fateh Hotel, Khartoum in the presence of ministers of energy and electricity and general managers of electricity companies in the region.

Addressing the opening session, Minister of Energy and Mining Al-Zubair Ahmed Hassan, hoped that the conference would issue recommendations beneficial to member states, adding that there are similar projects under implementation between Kenya and Tanzania.  He added that the conference would review performance in the last two years and put in place a detailed action plan for the purpose.
