Al Bashir Inaugurates Renk Electricity, Reiterates the Call for the Unity of Sud

President of the Republic, Omer Hassan Ahmed Al Bashir, launched Renk town electricity grid with a capacity of 120 MW at a cost of SDG 400 Million.

While addressing the mass rallies in the town, Al Bashir said that the city is physically in need of only 5 MW and that the rest quantity will be distributed in South Sudan.
Al Bashir called on the southern citizens to maintain the peaceful coexistence and unity so as for the state to be the real nucleus of the unified Sudan adding that the unity doesn't mean reducing the gains achieved by the CPA for the southerners affirming the necessity of the CPA and the unity for a unified and powerful Sudan.
Al Bashir said that the government will respect the choice of the southerners if they voted for secession and that they are going to support the new government in the south affirming that the government is going to start the agricultural projects in the state besides providing the state with the basic services.
"Many believed that bringing electricity to upper Nile is a matter of political propaganda but now the electricity in the sate has become a reality" Al Bashir said.
On his part minister of Energy and Mining, Al-Zubair Ahmed Al-Hassan, explained that the length of the of electricity carrier line in 600 Km and was connected with national electricity Grid adding that its capacity is 120 MW at a cost of SDG 400 Million.
